At a Meet & Greet on the evening of October 13, Jennifer shared the three priorities at the heart of her campaign: putting students first, empowering educators, and strengthening partnerships with families and the community. The conversation covered multiple pathways to student success, from Career and Technical Education (CTE) and skilled trades to community college and the UC and CSU campuses. Then residents shared their own experiences, hopes, and aspirations for TUSD.
In Jennifer’s words
What a wonderful evening at our Meet & Greet last night!
It was heartwarming to see residents come together to break bread, share stories, and have meaningful conversations about what “Excellence for the Next Generation: Raise the Bar” truly means for TUSD.
I shared the three priorities at the heart of my campaign: putting students first, empowering educators, and strengthening partnerships with families and our community.
We discussed how we can create multiple pathways for student success, whether through Career and Technical Education (CTE), skilled trades, community college, or our UC and CSU campuses. Every student deserves the opportunity to discover their strengths, pursue their passions, and find a path that works for them.
Just as importantly, I had the opportunity to listen. Residents shared their experiences, hopes, and aspirations for TUSD. The intimate, welcoming setting made it easy for everyone to speak openly, listen to one another, and feel heard. That’s the power of a genuine, two-way conversation.
And the evening ended on an especially encouraging note when a few residents asked, “How can we help your campaign?” Their willingness to get involved meant so much to me!
I love connecting with people and hearing their perspectives. I believe meaningful progress begins when we bring people to the table, value every voice, and work together toward a shared vision for our children.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so special. Together, let’s continue raising the bar for the next generation!
