It was such a pleasure meeting with the Sword & Shield journalism club students at South High this morning! Thank you for inviting both candidates for Torrance School Board Trustee, Area D, to share our perspectives.
The students asked thoughtful and insightful questions that gave me the opportunity to share my views in greater depth. South High holds a special place in my heart: our three children graduated from South High before continuing their educational journeys at UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and UC San Diego.
Sitting across the table from our students reminded me how important it is to connect with our young people, listen to their voices, and understand their hopes and aspirations for the future.
