What does Torrance Unified look like when we put students first?

Jennifer’s plan for Torrance Unified has three parts: put students first, empower educators, and partner with families. It starts from her belief that every student deserves the opportunity to thrive, every educator deserves support and respect, and every family deserves a trusted partnership with their schools.

In Jennifer’s words

What does Torrance Unified look like when we put students first?

I believe every student deserves the opportunity to thrive, every educator deserves support and respect, and every family deserves a trusted partnership with their schools. Here is my plan, in three parts:

  1. Put students first — campuses where our students can do their best learning and growing, and the support they need.
  2. Empower educators — practical resources, time to learn from each other, and room to keep growing.
  3. Partner with families — every family hears from their school and is heard in return, and teaming up with local businesses for internships and hands-on career classes.

“Excellence for the next generation is possible when we work together.”
